Job description

Location – Arbeta, Central Park, Manchester

Hybrid Flexible Working (2 days in the office)

Reporting to – Head of Engineering

Opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Cloud Data Engineer to join a world leading software technology business, based in Manchester, with a global customer and employee base.

You will be responsible for creating and maintaining optimal performance across the data pipeline including the integration of machine learning models into the AppLearn product set.

You will be passionate about embracing new technologies to help us gain insights about our customers, and help them achieve success.

Job requirements

Responsibilities

•Responsible for the data pipeline across analytics and product development
•Working within a product team, you will work with both Engineering and Analytics to enhance the data capabilities of Adopt, our leading DAP product.
•Helping to build new capabilities, leveraging Machine Learning and AI technologies.
•Being the Subject Matter Expert on Data Engineering, and participating in a cross team guild.
•Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: optimizing data delivery, testing and enabling scalability
•Helping to monitor and improve the resilience, security and performance of the data pipeline.


Core Competences

•Experience with some or all of the following Cloud data technologies: DynamoDB, Kinesis, S3, Athena, Glue, AWS Redshift
•Experience with Machine Learning technologies e.g. Amazon SageMaker would be advantageous
•Experience of using Natural Language Processing tools such as Amazon Textract, Amazon Comprehend would be beneficial
•Experience of working in cross functional agile teams
•Exposure to designing API driven data services
•Motivated to learn and grow in a fast paced environment
•Excellent communication skills - able to communicate clearly with Product, Development and Analytics team members
